Charlie Crist sends a message…

Sending a messageTo the editor:   What message did Gov. Charlie Crist send to the citizens of Florida by appointing Circuit Judge James Perry to the Florida Supreme Court?   Those who feed off the governor’s dreams might say … well, we don’t know what they might say since State Republican Party chairman Jim Greer has yet to issue his usual slobbering praise of how wonderful our governor is for having the foresight to appoint a liberal, pro-choice, pro-homosexual to such a high office. Maybe the governor finally stumped Mr. Greer. Perhaps the slippery tongue of the RPOF chairman cannot adequately find the words to make this slap to the face of the Republican Party seem like a kiss, although he will undoubtedly give it a try.   The message Gov. Crist continues to give is this: “You can ask, but don’t ever expect me to be conservative in anything but words. My agenda is MY agenda.” When Gov. Crist rejected the list of Supreme Court nominees and demanded a more “diverse” field from which to choose, it appeared he was simply playing the race card and pandering at full speed. But now that he has made his choice, and since skin color, nationality and gender should not matter, we have to conclude the governor was not concerned with skin color, but was looking to appoint a judge whose principles and belief system was more “diverse.”    The governor has a plan, a mission. He wants to become a senator, and maybe even president. Having those ambitions is OK. It’s common for little boys and girls to dream of growing up to be a doctor, or lawyer, or president or a princess. But children are taught they can obtain their goals by being good students in school, being honest, hard working and personally preparing themselves to qualify for whatever position they dream about. It seems that the governor’s pathway to stardom takes a different direction. Apparently he thinks the best way to get what he wants is to lay aside the principles of the party he represents and pander to political expediency. He did this by appointing someone whose principles are diametrically opposed to those of his own party. This speaks volumes about the Charlie Crist agenda. It’s all about getting elected.

Office of Redistribution of Wealth

October 17th, 2008

IF Barack Obama is elected to be the next president of the United States one of his main threats (or promises as some may call it) is to take profits from the rich and redistribute to the poor.  We need to take a moment and understand the route these funds will take.

It works like this: The government will confiscate corporate profits and wealth from individuals through a scheme of taxation. Those confiscated tax dollars will go into the US Treasury where they are mixed in with all the other tax dollars seized from the rest of the unsuspecting American taxpayers. Think of the US Treasury as a barrel with a cranking handle on one end that is turned at regular intervals to keep the money thoroughly mixed together.

Once these funds are intermingled they are no longer designated for any particular purpose and will be used as Obama’s liberal government deems appropriate. The bottom line is that the low income, poverty stricken and disabled Americans will probably never see any of these dollars that were pilfered by higher taxation from the very corporations that provide jobs to keep the rest of us from becoming part of that disadvantaged group. In the meantime, those corporations will raise their prices, cut more jobs and reduce employee benefits to keep their profit margins in line.
The solution is simple. While President Bush is still in office he should create a new governmental department to oversee the redistribution of confiscated private property. The liberals in Congress will gladly allow this as they will simply see it as “growing government.” They will be giddy and shocked by such a liberal move by the president.By establishing this new “Office of Taxation Redistribution,” President Bush can make use of his “Faith-Based” plan and have all of the tax dollars that were ripped off from the large corporations funneled to the churches of America where the pastors and other church leaders can ensure the money reaches those for whom it was promised.
Now, the liberals won’t be too happy about this part, but all the President has to do is agree that Church and State should indeed be separated. Since the Democrats think President Bush is not very bright they’ll assume he has gotten rid of their archenemy, the church, and be so excited they won’t realize the money went with the churches.
Naturally, no honest church leader would ever accept stolen money. So, they will simply return it to those from whom it was taken: those rich Americans who own our nations large companies. This will allow the corporations to put the money back where it belongs so they can continue to hire new workers, thus solving the economic drain on our economy.
Remember, if the money is filtered through a liberal government only a trickle, at best, will ever reach the public.

Tribute to the Republican Woman

February 11th, 2008

“The Republican Woman is best described in contrast by who she is, what she believes and what she will and will not allow. She holds her head high as a symbol of freedom while she reaches forth her hand to help the fallen. Her face reflects the joy of victory as her eyes yearn for peace in future generations. Her endurance is unmatched as she fights through the many struggles of life while her compassion generates hope for a better tomorrow. Her beauty, pure and fresh, shines as a light in the darkness of human suffering. Her resolve for truth punishes all that infringe upon her, her family and her nation. The Republican Woman: There is none like her for she has no equal.”
(A tribute by Michael Brigmond, a Republican Man)
